For Hate Groups, a “Year of Preparation” Ahead of 2024 Elections
2023 saw hate and antigovernment extremists intensify their efforts ahead of one of the most consequential elections in U.S. history, concludes the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Intelligence Project in its latest Year in Hate and Extremism report. Such groups ramped up their attempts to dehumanize and criminalize communities of color, minority faith communities, LGBTQ+ people and other vulnerable groups while working to undermine faith in the country’s democratic institutions. “The groups that we study and the groups that we follow have their eyes set on 2024,” says Intelligence Project senior research analyst Joseph Wiinikka-Lydon.

Why is it that we only think of American history as only about slavery! Why is that considered the only thing that happened! Do teachers teach about how the Chinese immigrants were treated poorly but we sure didn't mind their labor in mines and helping to build the railroad? How the American Indians were chased off their land? Broken treaty after broken treaties? How awful immigrants have been treated today? How slavery isn't limited to one group and how it's been around other places? Is the American history of anti semitism ever taught in school? The internment of Japanese-Americans blaming them for Pearl Harbor? Why is it that slavery and the Civil War always being treated as if those things were the only thing in history!

Looks like they forgot to turn the comments section off on this video. Nobody is believing your false propaganda anymore. You want to know why? Because people are waking up and actually digging and doing their research. The SPLC is nothing more than a Communist Front organization that is bigoted and full of hypocrites.

Teach this Instead: The Southern Poverty Law Center receives the majority of its funding from Wall Street Corporations. Corporations who offshore most of America's manufacturing overseas to places such as China and Vietnam. They do this to exploit those nations forced labor camps such as the 'Laogai' forced labor camps in China which has claimed the lives of millions of people due to disease, starvation, and dangerous work conditions. These extremely corrupt corporations, who spend billions of dollars every year lobbying Washington for political power and to keep this corrupt system going like this, that the SPLC receives "donations" from do this in order to get a cheaper price on labor and manufacturing thus cutting the jobs and wages of the American working class. All this while the SPLC is fully aware where their corrupt and shady donors get their money from....

Instead of fixating on "self flagellation curriculum" regarding something that was abolished over a century ago, why don't US schools focus on calling out the slavery that still exists today in other nations. Or, perhaps, working towards healing those wounds by not playing identity politics over something that is no longer an issue.
